A little bit about myself.....
I am a beginning teacher this year, teaching a class of 20 fantastic Y3 girls here at Muritai. I am really excited about including lots of ICT in my classroom and implementing some of the ideas I have already heard about from our cluster!
ICT Goals for 2008
Update blog regularly and eventually get the students to update the blog themselves.
Experiment with different ICT Tools and programmes that can be used in a classroom. Update my own knowledge!

Well now that it is into Term 3 I have finally had an opportunity (and reminders from Stu!) to update this wiki and reflect on my first 2 terms using ICT. In terms of my Blog....updating has been done mainly by me as my students, at times, struggled with logging in and creating their posts. However since attending the ICT Expo and picking up ideas on how to make this a little easier, I am know in the process of creating a wiki page that has links straight to the posting area of our blog. This will hopefully mean that the students can focus on creating a post instead of getting lost.
In terms of experimenting with different ICT Tools, I have explored KidPix (which I love!) and we have used this in class to publish written work and also to create images. We will hopefully continue our exploration of this programme this term with our re-telling Myths and Legends writing unit, hopefully incorporating recording our voices and creating a digital story.
Hey Sarah! How is your blog going this year? what is your ICT focus for Term 3? Stu
Blog is going well Stu, the kids are now starting to keep it updated and also post on our writing blog. Will be much easier when I get a page sorted with the links so they do not have to worry about how to get there! I tried using the Igoogle page but it doesn't seem to be working? Did you end up doing this as well? Does yours work?
